I'm just curious but what is infamous about the episode? I just watched it and found it pretty strange overall, almost like an old Kurosawa film style. The characters are drawn in a strange inhuman way for some reason, at times. Overall the ep was excellent drawn and animated, though.
That drawing style is pretty strange, specially when you compare it with the usual style from the other episodes. I remember one episode like this on "Hokuto no Ken" which had a drawing style completely different from all the other episodes, and I think "Yu Yu Hakusho" has some episodes like this too.
yea it was, but I think the directorial shift was somehow fitting for the story of the ep. But they'll have a heck of a time explaining those horror faces down the line.
