YES! I remember now. When they kept being called out for their TERRIBLE encodes. I was there.

Maceart said it after someone criticized their bad video quality. The funny thing is not long after that they v2'd the first episode of a show they subbed to use a better encode.

Wasn't it around the time Mahou Tsukai Precure! was airing? I distinctly remember him "offering" his 8bit shitty raws to the group who was doing it. Or did he say it before and just repeated it later?

810p is likely the native resolution, so anything above that will just be an upscale that your video player could do better during playback if it's set up correctly.
