What is the souce? Can't be a BD for an anime from 1990s, right?
Yep, it's from a bluray. (series aired from 1988-1992)
The show was one of the most popular in Japan so the BD release was a given and is spectacular. It's also one of the top streams in Netflix Japan, also available in HD there.
