  • PP: Source video is absolutely garbage for a 2020/2021 bluray. My main goal was to eradicate blocking, noise and banding on textures already starved and destroyed, followed by a large amount of grain to cover all this shit. I can say for sure there is a lot less banding in my encodes but don't expect me to have retained all the details that are no longer really. I had to make a choice: keep artifacts or eradicate them by sacrificing part of the textures.

Considering Funimation doesn't filter the master like the JP BD authors do, as well as churn out BDs which look noticeably worse than their Japanese counterparts at the same or higher bitrates, the chances of them releasing a better BD are pretty much zero.
